Adventures in the Graveyard

Monday, October 24, 2011 by Mark Rice
A Halloween adventure with a QR Code gravestone that channels the spirit of several scenes to a delightful story. We cooked up some formulas in our Webinar Resources laboratory and took a different spin on the use of QR Codes that has not been seen by human or zombie eyes.

New On-Demand Presentation in our Learning Content Network

Wednesday, September 7, 2011 by Mark Rice
Webinar Resources recently supported the production of a technical on-demand presentation that was promoted to engineering groups on LinkedIn. The views of the Brainshark presentation are being monitored to determine if the presentation is an effective lead generation tool that can be adapted for future sale. Early measurements of views indicate a high level of interest and global appeal in the content as depicted in the location view map underneath this presentation.   We added a QR Code with a short url http://mobex.me/DSP to promote our multi-channel mix of customer acquisition services.  You can view the presentation below, visit the short url or scan the QR code on the title slide.

Cracker Barrel Cracks the QR Code

Thursday, July 14, 2011 by Mark Rice
CrackQRCodeAnyone who has traveled has seen the Cracker Barrel restaurants along the highway.   They are the perfect place for great food, audio books and gifts.

In my recent visit to a Cracker Barrel, I noticed a promotional item sitting on my table that contained a QR code.  When I scanned the QR code with my iPhone, I was directed to Cracker Barrel's Facebook site.   QR codes are popping up everywhere and it seems that Cracker Barrel has learned to "crack the QR code" and add fans to their Facebook page with a very welcome invitation.

Go Hollywood With Your Webinar - create a trailer.

Tuesday, July 12, 2011 by Mark Rice
Webinar Resources recently was highlighted in Brainshark's Idea Blog.   As part of our webinar customer acquisition process, we produce a short trailer that consists of a Brainshark presentation.   The webinar trailer is sent out to announce the webinar and capture registrations through a call-to-action slide.

We recently produced a webinar trailer to promote the "Blending Print and Mobile to Deliver Engaging Experiences" Webinar Wednesday event with guest speaker, Bryan Yeager of InfoTrends.  The webinar trailer was viewed and tracked and effectively increased the number of registrations for our webinar.

Visit the Brainshark Idea Blog link below to:

Webinar Wednesday on Location at the Mystic Inn

Thursday, June 23, 2011 by Mark Rice
From: markrice@riceresources.com

Recording EngineerNeither rain, snow or sleet will keep our recording engineer, Zach, from recording a Webinar Wednesday event.

It was a wet Webinar Wednesday as we had to use the pool terrace to get a good WiFi signal. Unfortunately,
it poured down rain. Luckily there was a retractable awning to cover us and the show went on.

We had over 50% of our registrants attending the "Blending Print and Mobile to Deliver Engaging Experiences". InfoTrends Senior Analyst, Bryan Yeager, walked a captivated audience through recent research, use cases for mobile and print and shared some of the exciting emerging technologies that will continue to grow opportunities for blending print and mobile.

Bryan, thank you for an engaging experience!

When you want to drive customer acquisition and create engaging webinar experiences, turn to the trusted experts and pioneers in the industry, Webinar Resources. We are your webinar resource.

QR Codes - a New Way to View Mobile Webinar Trailers

Tuesday, June 14, 2011 by Mark Rice

Webinar Wednesday Trailer QR Code
QR codes bridge the print and mobile worlds and have opened another channel to communicate content and reach a wider audience.   QR Codes, like the one to the left, can be used to launch mobile webinar trailer content that we produce in the Brainshark rich media platform.

A webinar trailer is a short, multi-media, promotional invitation that is distributed to potential registrants over the web.   With QR codes, we add print media to our multi-channel mix.   Email, web, mobile, social and print are now avenues for reaching and acquiring potential webinar registrants.

We used to think that webinar trailers communicated content at the speed of light.   QR codes are accessed through the speed of the camera shutter and the light sensors built into your smartphone.   Now we are acquiring webinar registrants at the speed of light with QR Codes.

You can access the webinar trailer at http://mobex.me/webwed.

QR Codes Big Hit at Route 66 Festival

Monday, June 13, 2011 by Mark Rice

QR Codes at Route 66 FestivalVisitors to our booth at the 2011 International Route 66 Festival in Amarillo, TX., got a "kick" when they scanned QR Codes for giveaway prizes.   One of the favorite prizes was our Sell66Stuff QR Code decal (proudly displayed in the picture).

We hear there is a motorcyclist barrelling down the Mother Road with our decal proudly displayed on his hog.   If you see this road warrior, let us know.

Make it Stick on Route 66

Friday, June 10, 2011 by Mark Rice

Webinar Resources is excited to announce our support for the launch of the Sell66Stuff.com website.   Sell66Stuff is being launched at the 2011 International Route 66 Festival in Amarillo, TX this week.

Sell66Stuff is designed to provide a web presence for any business that wishes to post their product or service on the website.   Simple listings of businesses are free.  Businesses can also purchase more space to post their ads, embed mobile, multi-media content and even have ad content designed for them.  Sell66Stuff is a great portal to reach out to other Route 66 businesses, enthusiasts and anyone driving the historical highway.

The QR code above launches a mobile media ad sample.  QR codes (Quick Response) are named appropriately as they are "quickly" being adopted by many B2C and B2B businesses.   You will find QR codes in magazine ads, billboards, buses, business cards, direct mail, in-store displays, posters, and on decals (as the one shown above).

If you do not have a smartphone or QR Code reader, you can visit http://mobex.me/66stuffdecal.

Mobile Content Portal Drives Local Election Campaign

Tuesday, April 5, 2011 by Mark Rice

Webinar Resources optimized a Brainshark on demand presentation from a past election for a Florissant, Mo. Mayoral candidate and re-published it for this year's election in Brainshark's new mobile content portal.   Three presentations were created to provide mobile access anytime, anywhere from any device that would play streaming media.

Through Webinar Resources' suite of MobexMe mobile optimization services, the mobile content portal was populated with QR Codes, short URLs and links to publish the mobile content through social media channels.

"With our unique partnership and years of experience with the Brainshark rich media platform, we have "blended the best" of our partner offerings to deliver a unique mobile experience for the mobile viewer", says Mark Rice, Managing Director of Webinar Resources.

A splash image of the presentation with a link to the election mobile content portal was delivered and tracked through partner ExactTarget.  "Using ExactTarget's powerful tracking and reporting tools, we were able to reveal that the click activity on the presentation image was comparable to the click activity on the candidate's website address in the email", said Rice.  Additional voter email addresess were acquired as the presentation was forwarded through viewers using the built-in social media tools in the Brainshark mobile content portal supplied by Webinar Resources.

"This was a multi-channel campaign that utilized email, mobile, social and web to drive voter acquisition", said Rice.
